I still didn't have an appropriate skin tone markere at this point.Because of that I had to use the peach marker which barely cut it. None-the-less, I still like this page a lot.
I hate this page. It's one of my least favorite pages in any book. All I can say is I was sitting in a Pizza Hut waiting for the pizza to be ready with the rest of my family.
My first attempt of multi-paneled comics started right here. Just a little something to chuckle by. I was in Texas on holiday when i drew this, if that means anything at all.
This picture is a good example of me hating to draw arms. I just at this point had such a hard time with proportions that sometimes I just didnt try. At least I did a pretty good job using my new Prismas.
It's Christmas morning and the whole family has to wait for dad to make breakfast before we can open our gifts. So, in my boredom, I of course drew a little. I was forcing inspiration a little bit and drew this pretty ridiculous picture. It's pretty self-explanatory.
I was sitting in my room by myself watching "Capote" all alone. In one of the many jail scenes, I broke out my sketchbook and paused PSH doing a fantastic performance. I then proceeded to draw possibly my best portrait drawing to that date. Then on our way to a sushi place for my birthday dinner, I was so hungry I could eat a horse, or at least draw that.
this page is actually ahead of its time. Its in color and on my birthday still. I didn't actually get my lovely Prismacolor markers until christmas morning. That means that after i drew it on the 24th, I came back on the 25th. This is a picture of what my brother, Alex, imagines as the saddest thing. It's of a boy with no pants surrounded by mocking adults while he tries to cover himself with his one small shirt.
Sorry to crack necks here. I was in a Taco bell with Sheila and Alex, and I asked Sheila what her saddest story she can think of and this was what she said.
I remember this night well. It was December 23rd at ten o'clock. My brother, Alex, and I were at our friend Sheila's house watching "Fight Club." That was the inspiration for the plane and plane seat on fire. The guy with his head to the sky was done after midnight on Dec. 24th, which happens to be my birthday. (what's up with that lame fat cat?)
The first page of my sketchbook. A lot could be said about this, but I just don't feel like quting every single detail. Basically, i got this to just draw whenever I wanted, and this page represents what I felt that would be used for. It was also the first time I had ever drawn with fine tips like copic's .005 tip.
